Health details in stories
Consumer health data privacy policy, effective October 23, 2026. It covers the consumer health data that Narremos collects under Washington’s My Health My Data Act and Nevada’s consumer health data law.
What we collect, and how we use it. We collect the health details people mention in their stories and questions, such as conditions, diagnoses, treatments and medications. Under Washington’s law, this also covers voice recordings from which an identifier template could be extracted. We use them to keep the stories they’re in, to let the family hear and read them, and to run Narremos.
Where it comes from: storytellers, on our calls, and family members, in their questions.
What we share: those same health details, as part of the stories and questions they’re in.
Who we share it with: the account owner and everyone in the family’s circle, who hear every story, and after the storyteller’s death, the people their directions name. Also our service providers, which process it for us: Amazon Web Services and Twilio. We have no affiliates. No analytics or advertising company receives it.
How we process it: our AI interviewer hears and transcribes it on Amazon Bedrock, and it’s stored with Amazon Web Services, all in the United States, in AWS’s US East (N. Virginia) region.
Consent. We collect and share health details only as needed to give the storyteller the archive they asked for, and with the storyteller’s yes to recording, which names what they say about their health.
Your rights. You can ask us to:
confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and see it;
get the list of every third party and affiliate we’ve shared or sold it to, with a way to contact each;
stop collecting, sharing or selling it, or withdraw your consent;
delete it.
How to ask: write to privacy@narremos.com.
We may first confirm who you are, and we answer within 45 days, which we may extend once by 45 days, telling you why within the first 45.
We delete within 30 days after confirming who you are. Under Washington’s law, copies in our backups are deleted within 6 months. We also tell the service providers and others who received the data to delete it.
You can ask twice a year at no charge.
If we say no, you can appeal by writing to privacy@narremos.com. We answer within 45 days and, if we still say no, tell you how to complain to your state’s Attorney General.
Reviewing and correcting it: write to privacy@narremos.com to see your consumer health data, or to have it corrected or deleted. A storyteller can also ask us to delete any part of their stories.
Changes to this policy: we post them here with a new effective date, and email account holders. We collect, use or share health data for a new purpose, or a new kind of it, only after disclosing it here and getting your consent.
Tracking across sites. No third party collects consumer health data through Narremos about your activity over time and across websites.
