How Narremos responds when someone may be in crisis
Effective October 23, 2026
Narremos’ AI interviewer talks with people about their lives, on the calls we place. Sometimes that brings up pain. This page says what our AI does if someone may be thinking about suicide or about hurting themselves.
Where it applies: every call with our AI interviewer.
What our AI watches for: signs that someone may be thinking about suicide or self-harm.
What it does then:
It sets the interview aside, and responds with care.
It tells them where to get help: “If you’re thinking about suicide or hurting yourself, you can call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, at any time. If you’re in immediate danger, call 911.”
It goes back to the conversation only if the person wants to.
What it never does: encourage or describe self-harm, or offer counselling or medical advice in place of real help.
Stories about the past. A storyteller may tell of a loss long ago, including a suicide. The interviewer listens with care, and gives the referral if what they say suggests they’re struggling now.
What we keep: the conversation, as the storyteller agreed, and a count of the times our AI referred someone to help, without what was said.
Children don’t talk with our AI. Our AI may not be suitable for some minors.
